1. (Transparency): It must be of the transparent type that does not obstruct vision and is not reflective (not mirror-like).
2. (Free from Decorations): It must be completely free of any patterns, images, or stickers that might reduce its transparency.
3. (Compliance with Approved Specifications): It must be one of the types authorized within the Kingdom, which does not harm humans or the environment, as determined by the competent authorities.

Which parts of the car can be tinted?

The regulation clarifies the difference between parts that are allowed to be tinted and parts that are strictly prohibited:

The rear side windows
Tinting is allowed with a transparency level not less than what is locally known as "zero two" (02), so that visibility from inside the vehicle to outside remains possible.

The front and rear windshields
Tinting the front or rear windshield of the vehicle is not permitted at all, in order to maintain the driver's front and rear field of vision at all times.

Front side windows (driver and passenger)
Tinting this part is not allowed except in exceptional medical conditions that medically require it, and under approved conditions that must be met by the competent authorities.
